Old Dominion's Educational Foundations Department offers graduate research methods and statistics courses within the Darden College of Education, as well as other University programs. The program aims to make research enjoyable and fulfilling throughout the development of our students. Students will explore research methodology, analysis, application, and evaluate qualitative and quantitative work within an education framework. The objective of each course is to ensure that all students within the program develop a clear understanding of research in practice and application, as well as the level of inherent pleasure that can be derived from engaging in the research process.
Student Jennifer Giblin says:
"What I like most about the Foundations program is how it goes beyond statistics and offers students diverse topics such as hierarchical linear modeling and structural equation modeling that are relevant to the field of education."
