Social Studies Methods for Middle and Secondary School
Course will provide pre-service teachers the opportunity to learn and make application of teaching methodologies appropriate for the secondary and middle school classrooms. Embracing the purpose of social studies, the course will emphasize the integrated study of the social sciences and humanities, drawing upon such disciplines as anthropology, archaeology, economics, geography, history, law, philosophy, political science, psychology, religion, and sociology, as well as appropriate content from the humanities, mathematics, and the natural sciences.
