Military Career Transition Program (MCTP)
Technology Education Emphasis
The Military Career Transition Program (MCTP) Technology Education emphasis is an off-campus, evening program designed for separating and/or retiring military personnel who wish to pursue teaching as a second career. Program participants earn a Virginia teaching license in technology education and either a Master of Science or Bachelor of Science degree.
Program Highpoints
- Courses taught off campus at graduate centers and military bases
- Courses offered in the evening, and some on Saturdays
- Graduate placement rate consistently over 100 percent

How To Enroll
If you are interested in the opportunities of the Military Career Transition Program, the first step is to schedule an appointment with an advisor listed in one of the office locations. You should bring your undergraduate transcripts with you for review by an advisor. The advisor can also help you to apply for acceptance to the University.
